Originally from Montreal, Chantal began her career in 1985 on the radio at the NTR network of the Canadian Press, then as a sports reporter for Radio-Canada television in Ottawa. In 1989, she joined RDS and became the first woman in Canada to present a daily sports news bulletin, hosting the very first Sports 30 broadcast on RDS. Nearly 30 years later, the media landscape has transformed beyond recognition, but Chantal Machabée has stood the test of time, adapting through changing eras and accumulating fascinating encounters and prestigious assignments.
